Since the East Coast seems to have installed a snow magnet on itself this winter, I had yet another snow day today! While I'm not exactly complaining, this was the last one my county had built into our school calendar, and therefore if we take anymore they have to be made up at the end of the year. Not so cool. Would much rather be in school in the cold than in the beautiful summer sunshine. Regardless, I had a lot of time to catch up on my favorite blogger friends this afternoon. When I read what Kelly had to say about Simple Pleasures earlier today, I was inspired to create a list of my own! Hopefully one of you will be inspired as well!
- First and foremost: Summertime. It's just a season but it's really so much more. Not all places get to experience all of the seasons of the year, and I feel so lucky that I get to experience such a beautifully hot, humid, sweaty, tan filled season.
- the beach. It's free, it's beautiful, it's always there - even in the snow!
- Phi Mu, it just makes me smile.
-watching movies and laughing with real, true friends.
- laughing in general
-grabbing a drink after work
- comfy blankets to cuddle up in
- snow days!
- Summers off from work
- felt tip pens. I cannot describe to you my love for these. They just make your handwriting look so beautiful and neat! And they come in some amazing colors these days!
-funny shaped post its
- Football on Sundays
- time to sit down and read a good book
-finding something I enjoy doing (snowboarding) and sticking with it!
- hot baths
-getting to the shower before anyone else in the house so that you can take up all the hot water MUAHAHAHAHA
- a good workout (and sweat) at the gym
- family. Nieces especially.
- The Office
- reality TV
- a basketful of clean laundry (since it's usually, ahem, quite some time before I do laundry, I "remember" some of my most favorite pieces of clothing that I haven't worn in awhile!)
- unpacking bathing suits at the end of the winter
-flip flops
- love <3
- Harry Potter books (so what? I'm addicted)
- having all of my plans done and copies made BEFORE the weekend starts
- kids' stories
-pretty earrings
- glitter
-UGGS
Ok, well I guess that's all I've got for now. Is it wierd that most of them revolve around trying to stay warm in freezing cold weather, warm weather/summer, and school supplies? Good, I didn't think so either...
