Bargain Hunting

Last night, I did something for the very first time...

As I was wandering around the clearance section of Target, as any good bargain shopper would do on a rainy, cold Friday night, I stumbled upon a super cute blue-gray and tan tank dress. (I'll get pictures up ASAP, promise!) It had interesting colors, a flattering empire-esque waist, was knee length, and the straps were thick enough to wear to work without a sweater! I grabbed it off the rack, thinking I HAD to try this baby on! As I double checked the size, however, my heart sank. It was a maternity dress. But it didn't look like a maternity dress, so I grabbed one size down from my normal, just in case, and tried it on anyway. And guess what? It was super cute!

So, last night, I bought a maternity dress. No- I am not in preparation mode and no- I am not ashamed. It's adorable, flattering, versatile, and only cost me $6.24. Not too bad for a rainy Friday night.

This happens to me a lot, actually, in Target. I haven't looked at the tags until I got home, and then, bam!

I guess the fact that I can wear a Small in those items should have been my first clue, but that empire waist can be tricky.

I just wonder if it's weird that I have such a predilection to maternity clothes...
